Job Title: Project Contract Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• During the contract execution phase, analyze and manage the contract terms, exploring contractual solutions and alternatives in order to minimize risks and optimize opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director / Manager to coordinate contract management activities ensuring that all aspects of the contract:
• Review and analyse contract clauses and provide assistance regarding the interpretation of contractual clauses,
• Support the Supply Chain Function in negotiating contract documents of purchase orders, subcontracts and charter party agreements during project execution and support the teams for follow up and closeout of the supply chain agreements
• Maintain relevant records on behalf of Contractor.
• Advice, draft and review the contractual correspondence related to Clients and Partners; and contractual communications to Vendors and Subcontractors,
• Prepare and update relevant registers and reports,
• Prepare, follow up and negotiate variations of contracts and claims (including EOT, Disruption and acceleration claims) incorporating pricing, commercial, contractual, and technical aspects.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Dual (Legal + Engineering)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management within an engineering and construction contracting company, in similar complex turnkey lump sum EPCI projects, ideally in the O&G sector.
• Previous experience as Project Contract Manager, ideally for international contractors on EPCI type projects in the oil & gas industry or large construction projects with complex interfaces.
• Experience on FPSO, SURF, Platforms projects a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
