Summary

• This award, which is open to all first and second year full-time undergraduate students, irrespective of course of study, is aimed at assisting Nigerian students in financing their education.
• The scheme provides an annual scholarship grant to successful candidates from the year of award to the completion of their undergraduate program.

Who can Apply ?

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for consideration, applicants must be:

• Be a registered FULL-TIME undergraduate student in a NUC-accredited Nigerian University
• Be a certified 100 or 200 level student at the time of this application
• Have scored at least 200 in the UTME
• For 200 level students: have a minimum CGPA of 2.5 in a 5.0 grade system

Who can’t Apply

The following categories of students need not apply:

• Students who scored less than 200 in the UTME
• 200 level students with a CGPA of less than 2.5 in a 5.0 grade system
• 300 level students or higher
• Students who are current beneficiaries of similar scholarships from an entity in the oil and gas industry.

Application Deadline

We highly recommend submitting your application for NNPC / TotalEnergies National Merit Scholarship Scheme 2024/2025 on or before Tuesday, 1st July, 2025 to ensure it is received and reviewed on time.

• Application is available online ONLY. Do not mail your application.
• Shortlisted candidates ONLY will be invited to take the selection tests at designated centres nationwide.
• Candidates shall bear the full cost of transportation to/from the selection test venue. Candidates are therefore advised to choose test centres closest to them
