Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Tax Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• The Tax Manager will be responsible for tax planning, compliance, preparation, and law related to all tax matters of the company.
• The Tax Manager will also be responsible for managing tax audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Ensure the timely fulfillment of the Company’s tax compliance obligations, including the filing of tax returns and payment of taxes.
• Conduct routine assessments to identify areas of potential tax exposure and tax leakages, providing strategic recommendations to management to mitigate risks effectively.
• Stay updated on new tax laws and legislations, advising on their impact on the Company’s operations and financial strategies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align tax strategies with overall business objectives and financial goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• ICAN Certification is mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify tax risks and opportunities.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax management or related field.
• Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with a focus on the oil & gas, EPC, or construction industries.
