Who Can Apply? A Glimpse at the Requirements

To be eligible for Nigerian Army non-trades men/women, while tradesmen/women 89RRI recruitment, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Applicant must be a single Nigerian citizen by birth and possess a National Identity Card/ NIN or BVN.
• Applicant must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit in accordance with Nigerian Army standards.
• An applicant must not be less than 18 years old or more than 22 years for non-trades men/women, while tradesmen/women must not be more than 26 years as of 30th June 2025.
• Provide an O’Level result (WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB).
• Applicant must not be less than 1.68 meters for male and 1.65 meters tall for female candidates respectively.
• Applicant must possess a valid certificate of state of origin.
• Provide a valid birth certificate or age declaration.
• All applicants must possess a valid birth certificate endorsed by the National Population Commission, Hospital, or Local Government Council or a valid age declaration.
• Applicants must be no older than 30 years at the time of application.
• Candidates must have no criminal record.
• Be in good physical and mental health, with no history of communicable diseases, stuttering, mental disorders, visual or hearing impairment or any other physical disability.
• Must be free with no tattoos or body markings
• Provide two recent passport photos with a colored background.
• Must not be a member of a secret society, sect or fraternity.
