Up to N5,000,000 each for 45 successful AI researchers or start-ups in the following areas among others
- Agriculture
- Education and Workforce
- Finance
- Governance
- Healthcare
- Utility
- Sustainability
Selection Criteria
Grant applications will be reviewed by a panel of AI experts. The selection criteria will include:
- Novelty and originality of the research proposal
- Applicant’s track record of excellence in research or entrepreneurship
- Alignment of the research with the Ministry’s AI priority areas
- Feasibility of the project
How To Check your Name on FMCIDE/NITDA Shortlisted Candidates 2023/2024
If you are interested and qualified, you can apply for the Nigeria Artificial Intelligence Research Scheme through the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) website at airg.nitda.gov.ng.
Here are the steps to follow:
- Submit your application through the designated online channel.
- A panel of AI experts will evaluate the proposals.
- If you are shortlisted, you will receive an email notification and be invited for an interview.
- Successful applicants will be notified via email.
