FRSC Recruitment 2026: New Federal Road Safety Corps Recruitment 2026/2027 Apply Officers, Inspectors and Road Marshals

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced plans to commence its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, creating fresh employment opportunities for qualified Nigerians who are interested in building a career in one of the country’s leading paramilitary agencies.

Categories of FRSC Available Positions

Officer Cadre

The officer cadre includes positions such as:

• Superintendent Route Commander (SRC)
• Route Commander (RC)
• Deputy Route Commander (DRC)
• Assistant Route Commander (ARC)

These positions are intended for candidates with higher educational qualifications and relevant professional backgrounds.

Marshal Inspectorate Cadre

Qualified applicants can also apply for the Marshal Inspectorate category, which includes:

• Marshal Inspector II
• Marshal Inspector III

This cadre provides opportunities for candidates with approved diploma-level qualifications and other recognized professional certifications.

Road Marshal Assistant Cadre

Applications are equally open for:

• Road Marshal Assistant I
• Road Marshal Assistant II
• Road Marshal Assistant III

FRSC Recruitment Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must be Nigerian by birth.
• Candidates should be medically fit.
• Applicants should possess basic computer literacy.
• All educational qualifications must come from recognized institutions.
• Candidates must present a medical fitness certificate obtained from a government-approved hospital.
• Applicants must possess good character.
• Candidates must not have any criminal record.
• Applicants should not be financially embarrassed.
• Professional licences must be presented where applicable.
• A valid National Driver’s Licence is considered an added advantage.

The Corps also specified minimum height requirements of:

• Male applicants: at least 1.65 metres
• Female applicants: at least 1.58 metres

Educational Qualifications

Educational requirements vary according to the cadre being applied for.

For officer positions, applicants are generally expected to possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognized institutions.

Candidates applying under the Marshal Inspectorate cadre are expected to possess qualifications such as:

• National Diploma (ND)
• Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Registered Midwife (RM)
• Other approved equivalent qualifications

Applicants for Road Marshal Assistant positions may qualify with Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) qualifications depending on the position being applied for. Some technical positions also require trade certifications and relevant work experience.
