The Early Childhood Development (ECD) Teachers Programme is a three-year program in which young people are trained as Early Childhood Development Teachers and then placed in ECD centers run by non-governmental organizations.

This programme will offer the candidates unique opportunities such as:

a. Access to funding and financial support throughout the duration of the programme.

b. Employment opportunities with reputable DSD/GDE funded NGOs/ECD centres.

c. Exposure to various work readiness initiatives to enhance professional skills.

Selection Criteria Applicants must:

1. Be Gauteng residents.

2. Have matriculated from a school in Gauteng.

3. Be passionate about pursuing a career in ECD education.

4. You should be younger than 33 Years old and you may not turn 36 during the programme.
