Nigeria Immigration Contactless Passport (CONPAS) – Get your Passport in 2 days

Step by Step process of the Contactless Passport Application System (CONPAS) – To our brothers and sisters in the diaspora, you can now renew your Nigerian international passport easily without travelling to the Nigerian Immigration office. The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has launched the NIS APP that allows Nigerians to renew their passports in the comfort of their homes.

NIS CONPAS Eligiblity

1. Not more than 6months to the expiration of the current passport

2. Service is only available for reissue of existing passport (no correction of data, lost case or other exceptional cases)

3. Available for persons aged 18- 60 years

Basic Features of the recently launched Contactless Passport Application System (CONPAS)

  1. The app is available on Google Playstore (NIS MOBILE).
    2. It can be used on compatible android mobile devices. The app will be made available for I0S users in due course.
    3.It is an intelligent app li.e the app guides the users through the process)
    4. It guarantees the integrity of individuals data
    5. It can only be used for passport renewal
    6. The app employs a threeway image verification system to guarantee it’s security
    7. Both payment and capturing of biometrics is integrated into the app

How to Apply your Contactless Passport (NIS CONPAS)

1. Download and install the app from the relevant mobile app store Google Play Store: Create a profile and activate your account using a valid email
2. Click on the ‘passport application services’ tab on the landing page
3. Proceed with the passport application process as indicated, and ensure you choose the self-enrollment option.
4. Make payment and note your application D and Reference Number
5. Click the contactless biometric enrolment option on the passport application services
6. Input your application ID and reference number as required to check eligibility and proceed
7. If you are not eligible, proceed to book an appointment via the NIS passport application portal passport.int.immigration.gov.ng
8. If eligible proceed with biometric enrollment and submit appropriately
9. Mail your current passport to the applicable embassy with a self-addressed envelope (refusal to comply with this means that you will not receive your newly produced passport)
10. Wait for your passport to be delivered to the address indicated on your envelope within the stated timeline

Having issues with your app

If the app is crashing:
a. Ensure you’re using the latest version by checking the app store.
b. Clear the app cache by going to “Settings” → “Apps” → NIS Mobile → “Clear Cache.”
c. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app.
d. Contact support in the mobile app for a one-to-one support assistance
