Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Tax Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

The Tax Manager will be responsible for tax planning, compliance, preparation, and law related to all tax matters of the company.
The Tax Manager will also be responsible for managing tax audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Ensure the timely fulfillment of the Company’s tax compliance obligations, including the filing of tax returns and payment of taxes.
Conduct routine assessments to identify areas of potential tax exposure and tax leakages, providing strategic recommendations to management to mitigate risks effectively.
Stay updated on new tax laws and legislations, advising on their impact on the Company’s operations and financial strategies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align tax strategies with overall business objectives and financial goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
ICAN Certification is mandatory.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify tax risks and opportunities.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax management or related field.
Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with a focus on the oil & gas, EPC, or construction industries.
