Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Regional Chief Finance Officer (RCFO)
Location: Lagos
Job Purpose
- The role serves as a key liaison between the RCFO and internal and external stakeholders and requires exceptional organizational skills, discretion, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced finance environment.
- To provide high-level executive, administrative, and strategic support to the Regional Chief Finance Officer (RCFO) by managing schedules, coordinating finance leadership activities, facilitating communication across business units, monitoring action plans, preparing executive reports, and ensuring the effective functioning of the RCFO’s office.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Office Management:
- Organize logistics for executive meetings, workshops, and strategic planning sessions.
- Ensure the RCFO is adequately prepared for meetings through provision of relevant documentation and background information.
- Coordinate and prioritize appointments to ensure effective utilization of the RCFO’s time.
- Manage the RCFO’s calendar, appointments, meetings, and travel schedules.
- Screen incoming calls, correspondence, invitations, and meeting requests.
- Prepare daily schedules and briefing notes for the RCFO.
Correspondence and Communication Management:
- Handle confidential communications and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
- Act as the primary liaison between the RCFO and:
- External Auditors
- Consultants and External Stakeholders
- Group CFO Office
- Functional Heads
- Financial Institutions
- Plant CFOs
- Finance Leadership Team
- Regulatory Authorities
- Draft and review professional correspondence, emails, reports, presentations, and memoranda for the RCFO.
- Follow up on communications and ensure timely responses.
Meeting Coordination and Governance:
- Prepare agendas, meeting materials, presentations, and discussion papers.
- Maintain action trackers and monitor implementation of decisions.
- Coordinate Finance Leadership meetings, Management meetings, Budget Review meetings, and Board-related finance activities.
- Maintain a repository of meeting minutes and resolutions.
- Follow up with responsible managers to ensure timely completion of agreed actions.
- Attend meetings as required and record accurate minutes.
Reporting and Executive Support:
- Support the RCFO in tracking key financial and operational KPIs.
- Consolidate information from various Finance units for executive review.
- Assist in the preparation of:
- Budget Review Reports
- Executive Committee Reports
- Quarterly Business Reviews
- Board Papers
- Financial Presentations
- Strategy and Performance Dashboards
- Monthly Finance Performance Reports
Project Coordination and Follow-Up:
- Escalate delays or bottlenecks to the RCFO where necessary.
- Maintain project status reports and executive dashboards.
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables across finance departments.
- Coordinate strategic initiatives and special projects assigned by the RCFO.
- Follow up on assignments issued by the RCFO to ensure closure.
Stakeholder Management:
- Facilitate communication between Head Office Finance and plant finance teams.
- Coordinate interactions with:
- Human Assets Management
- Tax
- Treasury
- Procurement
- External Regulators
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Internal Audit
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across Dangote Cement operations.
- Ensure professionalism in all engagements representing the RCFO’s office.
Travel and Event Management:
- Prepare travel packs, briefing notes, and meeting schedules.
- Process travel expense documentation and reimbursement requests.
- Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements for the RCFO.
- Manage travel itineraries, accommodation, transportation, and visa requirements where necessary.
Document and Records Management:
- Manage electronic and physical records in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain secure filing systems for executive records.
- Maintain confidentiality of all executive and finance documents.
- Ensure proper archiving of finance reports, approvals, correspondence, and strategic documents.
Administrative and Operational Support:
- Support budget administration for the RCFO Office.
- Coordinate procurement and administrative requests for the office.
- Monitor departmental correspondence and workflow.
- Coordinate office activities within the RCFO Office.
- Track executive approvals and ensure timely routing of documents.
Confidentiality and Information Security:
- Ensure compliance with Dangote Cement policies regarding information security and data protection.
- Handle highly confidential financial, business, and personnel information.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding strategic decisions, financial results, acquisitions, restructuring initiatives, and executive communications.

Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management Sciences, Information Technology or related Discipline
Experience:
- Experience within a finance, banking, manufacturing, or multinational environment is an added advantage.
- 5 – 8 years relevant experience in Executive Assistance, Corporate Administration, or Finance Administration.
- Exposure to Board, Executive Committee, or senior management support activities.
- Prior experience supporting C-suite executives is highly desirable.

- Escalate overdue actions to the RCFO.
